Nose
Melted toffee crisp, sweet American mustard, chamomile tea, a touch of brine, salt and melted wax. Flapjacks, toffee, wakami, cut grass, meadow flowers and milled barley. Also, soft baked apple, slight apricot note, gentle peachiness, and minty notes.
Palate
Creamy malt, seeded bread with zesty marmalade, candied fruit, woody caramel, and biscuity spice. Maple flapjacks, toffee, almond brittle, brown butter cookies, with a sweet and gently fatty character. Full-bodied with rich orchard fruits, almost wine-like, and a deep spiciness. Also, notes of barley, straw, grass, oak, pear, white grapes, with a dry and coarse texture.
Finish
Honey, rich malt with a touch of dark chocolate balancing vanilla and citrus zest. Grist, toffee, stem ginger, and a gentle salinity. Medium-long with a greener turn, maintaining its fruity heart, with notes of cut grass, mint, ripe orchard fruits, and a creamy, nutty character.
