Description

Teeling Revival 15 Years Old 2015 is the first release of the Revival range, a special commemorative expression marking the opening of the Teeling Whiskey Distillery in Dublin in 2015, bringing distilling back to the city after 125 years. This 15-year-old Irish single malt was distilled in 1999 and matured entirely in ex-rum casks. It is bottled at 46% ABV and is non-chill filtered.

Nose
Fresh pears, ripe bananas, papayas, kiwi, and green table grapes, with hints of soft vanilla, coconut, honeysuckle, lemongrass, and a touch of oak. Some notes of fresh cut grass and cereal grains, developing into honeyed sweetness with tropical fruit juice and damp moss.
Palate
A juicy and fruity sweetness with notes of Granny Smith apple, pineapple, grapefruit, mango, and pawpaw. Spicy with cinnamon, clove, vanilla, honey, and lemongrass, wrapped in a medium oily mouthfeel.
Finish
Reasonably lengthy, with lingering tropical and sour fruit notes, turning slightly vanillic and tannic. Hints of toasted sugar, oak, and a simmering selection of cooking spices.
