Nose
Expect warm spices and pepper, sweet honey and banana notes, with inviting notes of ripe fruits and a hint of vanilla. There are also aromatic cinnamon, malty barley crunch, and light, juicy fruits like apple, butter cookie, caramel creme, pears, and apricots.
Palate
On the palate, there are unusual highlights of eucalyptus, burnt orange, rosemary, and thyme, alongside a harmonious balance of spices and caramel. Layers of vanilla, honey, and rich malt sweetness are present, with a chewy greybread base, quince jelly, chocolate sprinkles, whipped cream, and powdered white pepper. The rye is wonderfully present with gentle spices, cinnamon, almond paste, caramel, orange liqueur, oaties, and nutmeg.
Finish
The finish is long and warm, with aniseed and ginger. It emphasizes cinnamon and pepper, followed by almond cookie crunchiness, spearmint freshness, and notes of green and yellow fruits like apple, gooseberry, garden plum, and unripe banana. There's also a quick hit of cough syrup, warm spices, and a sliver of ginger, with lingering oak and spice.
