Description

Togouchi is a brand of Japanese blended and single malt whiskies. Originally a vatting of Scottish and Canadian spirit that was then aged in a disused railway tunnel Japan, Togouchi is now distilled and bottled at the Sakurao distillery in Hiroshima.

Fragrant oak, thyme honey, toffee apples, apricots, and honey, with hints of brandied cherry, burnt toast, hazelnuts, and light incense.
Palate
Sweet and fruity with notes of sultana, dried apricot, honeydew melon, pears, peaches, and tropical fruits. Also features floral barley, stem ginger, baking spices, cereal, sweet pastries, salted caramel, and a woody, earthy character with vanilla and oak.
Finish
Short to medium, with notes of runny caramel, cereal, vanilla, orange peel, unprocessed grape juice, gentle white pepper, and a nutty, oaky, and dry character.
