In 1986 it became the first Japanese-owned Scotch distillery when it was acquired by Takara Shuzo Co and under its ownership today it provides fillings for the Antiquary blend as well as its single malt brands. The long-serving flagship brand of the Isle of Man-based independent bottler, Lombard Scotch Whisky.
