This Tomatin 36 Year Old is a small batch release Highland single malt Scotch whisky, matured for over three decades in a combination of first-fill Spanish Oloroso Sherry butts and traditional oak casks. It is non-chill filtered and presented at natural colour. The whisky is described as vibrant, fruity, and floral with winter spices, rich, sweet, with oaky flavors, heather honey, and roasted chestnuts, leading to a long finish. Palate
Rich yet sweet, with fruity tones developing into oaky flavours of raw heather honey and roasted chestnuts, woody and malty, cloves, cardamom, crisp orchard fruits, white pepper, cinnamon, nutmeg, sweet ginger, and light honey notes.
Finish
Long, elegant, and memorable, with waves of fruit fading to an enticing winter spice finish, drying slowly to fruity licorice and plain chocolate, elegantly smooth and creamy with a hint of spice, toffee, honey, milk chocolate with tempered notes of oak, and a smooth, fresh combo of fruits and bourbonny oak.
