Description

This small-batch bottling from Tomintoul distillery is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky. It was initially matured in ex-bourbon American oak casks and then finished in hand-selected Pinot Noir wine barrels from Burgundy, France. The process of 'finishing' creates a beautifully rich, complex, and full-flavored single malt.

A bouquet of summer berries and red grapes bound with filo pastry, baking spices and salted caramel. Marzipan, oak, syrupy morellos, with hints of toasted coconut.
Palate
Sweet layers of baked strawberry, blackcurrant liquorice, glace cherries and oat flapjacks structured with tobacco and oak spice. Dark chocolate, soft vanilla, juicy blackberries, and pepper.
Finish
Warming clove and wood spices mingled with bramble, vanilla pod and ginger biscuits. Red fruit and baking spices.
