Nose
Full, fragrant and tropical – honeydew melon, peach, pear and apricot with runny honey and sawdusty oak. Vanilla creams follow, with just a pinch of salt. Very elegant.
Palate
Full, barley with hints of straw to begin with. Sweet, creamy and then a little zesty. Apple peels and hints of walnuts too while pink grapefruit zest balances the sweetness.
Finish
Long, fleshy, minerally and citric with the alcohol drying a little, but the oak lingers. Fairly long with a zesty tartness that lingers.
