Description

This Uberach Single Cask Whisky has a clear amber color with orange highlights. It is aromatic, has a lot of strength, and personality due to the organic malted barley it originates from. This wonderful Whisky has first been distilled in copper Holstein column stills by the traditional double-pass method. It has been aged for at least 6 years in French oak barrels that contained "Reserve" wines from Banyuls beforehand. This gives it its unique taste. [2, 5, 7]

Nose
cherries, pears. First spicy, fruity notes such as fruit confit and mulled wine. Later notes of walnuts and hazelnuts with a hint of chocolate. Aromas of toast and leather make an appearance together with cloves, cardamom and white tobacco.
Palate
a dry sweetness brings licorice and cacao with it. It is smooth and ample with flavors of toasted caramel, nuts, and cooked peaches. A spicy note of cloves, vanilla, and peppercorn wrap it up.
Finish
pleasantly fruity. [2, 5, 7]
