This Unicorn 1988 Myths and Legends 30 Year Old is a single malt Scotch whisky distilled in April 1988 at an undisclosed Speyside distillery and bottled in April 2018 by Campbell Meyer & Co. It was matured for 30 years in a First Fill Oloroso Sherry Butt, with an outturn of 630 bottles. This non-chill filtered release was an exclusive for CWS China.

Full of tobacco leaves, walnuts, leather, espresso, black tea, mulch, orange zests, wet wood, faint pears, old rose petals, and rancio notes. It has an old-style mushroomy side and an elegant fruity edge, reminiscent of old Brandy de Jerez.
Palate
A thick texture with a sweet start of raisins, fig syrup, and honey pastry, balanced by drier elements like liquorice, smoked wood, and eucalyptus. Further notes of cigar leaves, coffee, sandalwood, chocolate, faint flint, black peppercorns, and old brandy notes.
Finish
Long, warming, and spicy, with chocolate and fruity orange echoes.
