Description

A historic brand of wheated Kentucky straight bourbon. It is marketed by the Sazerac Company and produced by them at their Buffalo Trace distillery. The label was created by W.L. Weller & Sons and became one of the flagship brands of the Stitzel-Weller distillery when it opened in 1935.

Soft vanilla and citrus, sweet, maple syrup, caramel, orange, Swiss Miss hot cocoa w/marshmallows, soft wheat grain, corn sour mash notes, yeast, spice, sarsaparilla syrup, butterscotch, honey, apricots.
Palate
Sweet and oily, syrupy, brown sugar, vanillin, wheated smoothness, wheat cracker taste, cinnamon and clove heat, butterscotch, apricot, sweet toffee, dark fruit, hint of spice.
Finish
Shortish and a little spicy, lingering harshness, vanilla, hint of vanilla, smooth with a sweet honeysuckle flair, long and satisfying, lingering notes of caramel, vanilla, touch of oak, warming.
