Nose
Light fruit notes with malt and spice, watery old wood, wet driftwood, vanilla, and pine. It also presents sweet and sour apple sauce, gooseberries, lemon juice, and a very woody character with freshly sawed planks and wood shavings.
Palate
Notes of rice porridge, pine, spicy wet driftwood, rye, cereal, nuttiness, and some fruitiness, alongside charcoal. It can also be sweet with maple syrup and honey, with hints of oak and liquorice. Some detect a chemical side, sweet white fruit, citrus, and a bitterness from the wood.
Finish
Characterized by pine and rice, a sherry-esque nuttiness (though not a sherry finish), and charcoal. It is described as long, spicy, smooth, and surprisingly mellow, with lingering wood and bitterness.
