Description

Lómhar was created at the request of Waterford's CEO Mark Reynier to Head Distiller Ned to create a 'winter warmer'. This Micro Cuvée is a blend predominantly from 10 distinct single-origin distillates, along with the first organic spirit distilled from the barley of 6 producers. It also includes a small amount of the first cuvée, Pilgrimage. [2, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 15, 16]

Nose
Red berries and chocolate-coated nuts, with a helping of fruitcake on the side. A touch of cut grass and hay develops later on.
Palate
Sultanas, dried cranberries, clove, ginger and caramel.
Finish
More chocolate here, with perhaps a hint of milky coffee. Earthy barley sneaks through, too.
