This very limited USA only release, Waterford Dunbell 1.1 Single Farm Origin, marks the distillery's debut in the United States. Distilled in 2016 and bottled in August 2020, the barley for this single malt was grown by Ned Murphy in Dunbell, County Kilkenny, east of the River Nore. This release showcases Waterford's 'Single Farm Origin' concept, highlighting the influence of terroir on whisky flavor. It was matured in a combination of first-fill US oak, virgin US oak, premium French oak, and Vin Doux Naturel casks.

toffee, green apple; reminds me of autumn. If you had porridge with raisins, cinnamon, dark chocolate, and a nip of Dunbell followed by apple tart and vanilla ice cream, that's it. You might have to do like goldilocks after it and have a snooze.
