Description
Waterford Distillery, founded in 2014 by Mark Reynier, is dedicated to the philosophy of terroir, collaborating with over 70 farms to explore the diversity of Irish barley and its influence on whisky flavor. This 'Single Farm Origin' release, Tinnashrule Edition 1.1, is named after the Tinnashrule farm in County Wexford, where John Crowley grows the barley. Distilled in 2017 and bottled in 2021, this Irish single malt whisky matured for 3 years, 8 months, and 14 days in a sophisticated cask formula including first-fill American oak, new American oak, French premium oak (Margaux red wine), and Vin Doux Naturel (Sherry/Sauternes) barrels. Bottled at 50% ABV, it is non-chill filtered and free from coloring. This particular edition was exclusively bottled for the German market.
