Description

Waterproof Blended Malt Scotch Whisky is a Sherry-influenced malt whisky from a handful of top distilleries, batch bottled at higher than normal strength. The name and looks are inspired by 'Water' and 'Strength' (Proof) and by the Scottish inventor of the much-needed raincoat (the Mac), Charles Macintosh. It is produced by MacDuff International.

Fruity, musty and malty, with notes of cereal barley, raisins, apple, cinnamon, red berry jam, caramel, sticky toffee pudding, woody oak, sandalwood, cigar boxes, hazelnuts, decaying leaves, varnish, dates, and a hint of smoke.
Palate
Medium-bodied, silky and smooth, with toffee apples, caramel, moist fruit cake, maraschino cherries, brandy-soaked raisins, gentle fruits, powdered coffee, milk chocolate, soft oak spices (cloves, black pepper), apple peel, rum-soaked raisins, cordite, tannins, bitter dark chocolate, espresso, charring smoke, burnt toffee, honey, fresh fruits, Christmas cake, chocolate, dates, and soft ginger.
Finish
Medium-long, slightly drying, with toffee, woody oak, dried fruits, salted licorice, ginger spice, cinnamon, soft tannins, brown sugar, and lingering malt loaf.
