Description

West Cork Distillers was formed in 2003 by childhood friends John O'Connell, Ger McCarthy and Denis McCarthy. The Glengarriff Series, launched in early 2018, pays tribute to the Glengarriff Forest in West Cork. This triple distilled single malt Irish whiskey is initially matured in Sherry casks before being finished for 4-6 months in virgin oak casks that have been heavily charred using peat harvested from the local boglands of Glengarriff. This unique process imparts an earthy smokiness to the whiskey.
