Nose
Ripe, bright fruits like apricots and apples, with brown sugar, slight chocolate, and oak. Hints of wort-like smells and fermenting fruit, along with baked pie crust, dried powdered ginger, vanilla, caramel, black pepper, and cinnamon sticks.
Palate
Malty with dark chocolate, lemon zest, and oak. Cake-like sweetness, limes, and a fair amount of spice, including cinnamon, vanilla, caramel, black pepper, and cocoa powder.
Finish
Medium length with oak, malt, earthy, and lemon notes. A surprisingly bitter quality with lingering sweetness, cinnamon hard candies, caramel, black pepper, and cocoa powder.
