Description

Upshot is Whipper Snapper Distillery's first and flagship whiskey, crafted from 100% West Australian Grains: 80% corn, 10% malted barley, and 10% wheat. It is a modern Australian expression of a well-rounded, bourbon-style corn whiskey, uniquely smooth and inviting. Artfully aged for a minimum of two years in virgin southern white oak in Perth's Mediterranean climate, it is non-chill filtered.

Soft, with gentle aromas of butterscotch and vanilla, caramel and vanilla custard sprinkled with cinnamon, hint of berries and raisins, meat-like and savoury, similar to sundried tomatoes, warm kaffir leaf, cedar, toffee.
Palate
Creamy and smooth, notes of caramel, maple, and nutmeg, vanilla cake and cereals, slight char, cranberries, tarty red apples, cherry, spice of licorice, star anise, cinnamon and white pepper, rich creamy texture with light butterscotch, moreish, easy.
Finish
Vanilla and toffee, cinnamon spice infused with a pleasant vanilla sweetness, amalgamation of spice and sweetness, clean with hints of maple, vanilla, dark toffee, moderate, clean and precise, little tannic spice, soft fudge texture with enough sugar sweetness to give a maple syrup on pancakes feel.
