Description

Whistlepig 10 Year Old Single Barrel Rye / British Bourbon Society. The Whistlepig distillery was established in Vermont in 2007. This 10-year-old rye whiskey was distilled and partially aged in Alberta, Canada, and then further aged at WhistlePig farm in Vermont. It was matured in new American Oak barrels and hand-bottled by Whistlepig. This particular release is a single barrel bottling for the British Bourbon Society.

Nose
Allspice, orange peel, anise, oak, char and caramel. Sweet maple syrup, vanilla cupcakes, cherry blossoms, fresh cut lilies and grass.
Palate
Sweet with hints of caramel and vanilla, followed by rye spice and mint. Loads of mint and pine needles, spicy cinnamon, brown sugar, caramelized apples, orange peel and cherries.
Finish
Long finish with warm butterscotch and caramel. Herbal and botanical notes, cherry cough syrup, black pepper flakes, spearmint, ginger paste, flowers and tart stone fruit.
