Description

Founded in 1882 by Charles Mackay and James Whyte, the company's first blended whisky was Whyte & Mackay Special and proved hugely popular in the UK and other English-speaking countries worldwide. Over the years, Whyte & Mackay have either taken over or merged with the owners of several distilleries including Dalmore, Fettercairn and Tomintoul, and later, their own grain distillery; Invergordon. This 12-year-old blend from the 1980s is not just a testament to Whyte & Mackay's blending expertise but also a piece of whisky history, reflecting the tastes and distilling practices of the time. It serves as a delightful journey back in time for whisky enthusiasts and collectors alike, offering a glimpse into the rich tapestry of Scotch whisky production and the enduring legacy of Whyte & Mackay.
