Description

Started in 1882 By Charles Mackay and James Whyte, W&M Special was their first blended whisky and proved hugely popular in the UK and other English speaking countries worldwide. It claims that the secret to its award-winning taste is the triple maturation process and the way it blends, making sure no single whisky dominates another. 40% ABV / 70cl.

Nose
Smooth with warm appealing highlights of marzipan, Manuka honey, creamy caramel and Demerara sugar, followed by whispers of glazed pineapple, cider apples and praline chocolate.
Palate
Mellow and exhilarating flavours of tropical fruits, rose hip syrup, caramelized orange segments and macaroons, with notes of sweet caramel, glucose, and a mild spice.
Finish
Peaches in syrup, liquorice and Seville marmalade, with a warm, spicy, and mildly dry character.
