Nose
Sweet black coffee and shellac, followed by dark fruitiness including blackberries, blackcurrants, blueberry muffins, sour cherry, and dried plums, with a hint of salty licorice. Green apples, warm Acacia honey, vanilla pod, almond pastries, teasing smoky hints, milky coffee, drying cinnamon, and polished oak.
Palate
Complex with Chinese salted cherries, coffee grounds, bitter dark chocolate, and a Cognac-like quality. Forest floor earthiness, Werther's Originals sweetness, raw cinnamon heat, barley sugar, beaten leather, and spiced treacle tart with custard.
Finish
Long, starting spicy, then drying, turning chocolatey, leaving a fruity sweetness with a pinch of salt. Burnt sugars and touches of floral oak.
