Description

Wire Works Whisky from White Peak Distillery is Derbyshire's very first Single Malt. Commissioned in early 2018 with the first distillation taking place in April that year, it wasn't until February 2022 when their first Wire Works Whisky was released. The 'Wire Works' name comes from the site of the distillery, as it's built on the former Johnson & Nephew wire works on the banks of the river Derwent. This Double Oak Port expression, the first Wire Works release of 2023, is a lightly peated English single malt initially matured in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels and then finished in Port casks from Dias Cooperage. It is bottled at 52.2% ABV, non-chill filtered, and is a limited release of 1321 bottles.
