Wire Works Whisky from White Peak Distillery is Derbyshire's very first Single Malt. Commissioned in early 2018 with the first distillation taking place in April that year, it wasn't until February 2022 when their first Wire Works Whisky was released. The "Wire Works" name comes from the sight of the distillery, as it's built on the former Johnson & Nephew wire works on the banks of the river Derwent. This 'NSD Double Wood' is a limited release, single cask, double cask matured expression, resulting from a collaboration with Never Say Die Bourbon. The whisky was matured in two American bourbon whiskey barrels, specifically from Heaven Hill and Never Say Die.
