Description

Released for the 2023 Mey Highland Games, this 7-year-old Wolfburn is a limited edition bottling that ties the distillery closely to its Caithness home. Crafted in Thurso, the northernmost mainland distillery in the UK, this Highland single malt offers Wolfburn's signature smooth, lightly peated character, with added depth and richness from careful cask selection. It was a vatting of two hand-selected quarter casks, both just over seven years old when bottled, with only 420 bottles in total.

Nose
Crystalised fruits meet fig rolls and apricot jam. It's beautifully sweet, with just a hint of coffee and dark chocolate.
Palate
Juicy and mouth-watering. Rich toffee and syrup flavours lead the way, with overtones of cocoa and vanilla. Fruity sweetness coats the palate, with citrus flavours and honey notes leading to a warm, soft finish.
Finish
Vanilla notes gently fade away with a lovely trace of oak smoke lingering at the end.
