Description
The Wolfburn Morven is a lightly peated single malt whisky from the Wolfburn distillery, located in Thurso, Caithness, Scotland. The distillery, revived in 2013, takes its name from a local watercourse and is the northernmost mainland distillery in Scotland. Morven, named after the highest peak in Caithness, reflects the 19th-century distillery's use of peat. It is made from malted barley infused with peat smoke (10 ppm) during the drying process. This non-age statement (NAS) whisky is matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and quarter casks, including some ex-Islay quarter casks, and is bottled at 46% ABV, non-chill filtered, and with natural color.
