Description

A late 2017 addition to Wolfburn's core range, Morven is a lightly peated single malt from the northernmost distillery in mainland Scotland. It is made from malted barley infused with smoke during the drying process and matured in ex-bourbon casks. This expression is non-chill filtered and presented at 46% ABV with natural colour. Nose
Initially smoky with hints of fruit and fresh sea air, accompanied by vanilla and oak wood shavings. Soft peat, earth, and dry grass also present.

Floral notes abound, followed by raisins and light spices. Malty flavours open up with soft honey sweetness, apple crumble, custard, peaches, apricots, and nectarines. Woodsmoke and peppery spice provide balance.
Finish
Soft peaty tones ensure a smooth and lingering finish. Some nectarine, peach, earthy peat, peppery and gingery warmth, with sweet hints of shortbread and ginger.
