Situated on Scotland's rugged north coast, the Wolfburn distillery was first established in 1821, rapidly becoming the largest distillery in the Caithness area. The purchase of the land was finalised in May 2012 and the first ground was broken on the new site just a few months later. Soft and sweet, gradually fading with a gentle peat smoke overlay, sometimes described as long and malty with a touch of peaty sweetened grapefruit, or a bit spicy with a toffee apple flavour and barley sugar sweetness.
