Yamazaki Spanish Oak 2022 Edition is from Suntory's flagship Yamazaki distillery, founded in 1923 by Shinjiro Torii. Yamazaki is Japan's first commercial distillery, chosen for its 'Scottish' climate and the convergence of three rivers. It is known for producing single malt whisky, with its first bottling in 1984, and also provides fillings for blends like Hibiki. This expression is part of the 2022 Limited Edition Tsukuriwake Selection, highlighting whiskies matured in meticulously selected oak casks from Northern Spain, which impart a rich and complex character with notes of dried fruits and subtle acidity.
