Nose
Very rich and full. Sherry notes, plums, raisins, peaches, cinnamon, cardamom, wood tannins, nail polish remover. Quite spicy and dreamy. Intense plums and figs, polished oak, hints of turpentine, acetate, polished leather, walnut liqueur, raspberries, yuzu, toasted notes. Dark chocolate, blackcurrant buds, grilled beef, balsamico, espresso coffee.
Palate
Massive oak. Orange zest, sherry notes and dark chocolate. Rich but quite dry and tannic. Prunes, dates, raisins, oaky notes, espresso. Dried herbs, cough syrup, cardamom, liquorice, cigar juice. Plum jam, blackberry jam, prunes, lees, cherry stem tea, caramel, orange liqueur, spearmint, cough syrup.
Finish
Still quite oaky, but releases its iron grip, becoming sweeter. Richness from the nose returns. Apricots, plums, exotic spices and dark chocolate. Very long, with dark chocolate, coffee, herbs and cherries on brandy. Endless but more on spices.
