Description

Millstone Peated American Oak Dutch Single Malt Whisky is handcrafted in the traditional distillery that is owned and operated by the Zuidam Family. Two generations of distillers and a constant search for perfection has led to the birth of this malt whisky. This peated malt whisky has an underlying fruity character that is carefully created by the crystal clear mash and the long cool fermentation with both brewers and distillers yeast and a slow and gentle distillation before filling it in a combination of first fill Virgin Oak and refill American oak casks.

Nose
The first impression is of a subtle smokiness and surprisingly fruity character. Sweet notes of ripe pear and tropical fruitiness with vanilla, coconut and a hint of spices.
Palate
Full-bodied and complex, with earthy notes and a hint of vanilla. The peat smoke is well integrated with the sweetness, delicate spicy notes. It develops into bitter chocolate and coffee.
Finish
Medium long and pleasant with peat smoke, orange and oak spices.
