The caramel and toffee give this bourbon an inviting sweet side, while the pepper and lingering oak bring a firmer edge. That contrast sounds satisfying, though the spice-forward character may be less easygoing than a softer pour.
The dark cherry and caramelized sugar give this bourbon a clear sweet edge, while cinnamon, pepper and toasted oak keep it from reading as simply sweet. That balance suits my preference for bourbon.
