Description

This Aberlour was matured in first-fill sherry cask #2371 and bottled exclusively for The Whisky Exchange. One of many Speyside distilleries in the Pernod Ricard portfolio and up until 2018 was part of just a select group of three from which they marketed single malts, alongside Glenlivet and Strathisla. The French multinational operate it through their Chivas Brothers Scotch whisky division.

Richly sherried with plum, apricot, dried orange peel; right below that soy sauce and saddlebags; some dry oak too.
Palate
More tannic grip here at first and second and it's spicier too (cinnamon). With time and water, plum and dark chocolate emerge.
Finish
Medium-long. The wood and spice hang out for a bit.
