Description

Akashi Single Malt is the flagship export single malt whisky from Eigashima Shuzo, distilled at the White Oak Distillery in Akashi, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan. It is distilled from 100% imported Scottish malted barley and is lightly peated. This non-age statement whisky is aged in a variety of casks including ex-Bourbon, sherry, brandy, wine, shochu, and new American oak barrels. It is bottled without chill filtering or coloring. Eigashima Shuzo, established in 1888, received one of Japan's first whisky-making licenses in 1919.
