Description

Launched in 2015, Rascan was the fourth global release in the distillery's peated collection. It was distilled from barley peated to 11.1ppm. A distillery located in the Speyside town of Knock, just outside Keith. Built in 1893, it was the first malt distillery to be built by the Distillers Company although was sold by its successor, United Distillers, to Inver House Distillers who now markets it. The name 'Rascan' refers to a traditional farmer's tool used to harvest peat.
