This particular cask was filled by Nikka owner Masataka Taketsuru on 28th September 1990, who sadly died a few months before the cask was bottled in October 2015. A historic malt distillery located in the Highland region of Scotland. Since 1989 it has been Japanese-owned as part of the Asahi Group.
