This Benrinnes single malt is an exclusive bottling by Thompson Bros, drawn from their Dornoch-based warehouses. The spirit was re-racked into a refill PX Quarter Cask for further maturation, imparting deep flavours and aromas of muscavado sugar, fig and winter spices. Thompson Bros, founded by brothers Simon and Phil Thompson, focuses on unique and characterful releases, bottling at natural cask strength, natural colour, and without chill filtration.

Nice richness and concentration, gentle sweet oiliness and rich apricot jam. With water, everything amplified and lengthened, slight fattiness of texture but it carries it off as robustness.
