Nose
Layers of crisp, fresh orchard fruit, honey, and buttered fruit scones. Sweet and malty with notes of caramel, lemons, apples, pears, vanilla, and dried papaya.
Palate
Quite floral with notes of poached fruit, summer berries, and fruit tea, backed up by crumbly shortbread and spiced apple tart. Medium silky mouthfeel with honey, tropical fruit, papaya, persimmon, coconut, pear, green apples, and fruit cake.
Finish
Vanilla joins yet more buttery pastry, toasted nuts, and sultanas, with whispers of fennel seeds and creamy chocolate. Medium finish with lingering fruits, especially pear, some gentle spice, and a subtle sour note like green apple or under-ripe grapes.
