Benromach 1981 Cask Strength 25 Year Old, Sherry Cask, 2006, 54.2%

This Benromach single malt was distilled in 1981 by the distillery's previous owners before it was mothballed in 1983. The two refill sherry casks it matured in were sold to Gordon & MacPhail when they acquired Benromach a decade later, and the whisky was eventually bottled at the end of 2006. Gordon & MacPhail have since seen significant success with Benromach, increasing its capacity.
