Nose
Fairly old school with a clear sherry influence, mostly malty with coconut, wood glue, blood oranges, cinnamon, and subtle smoke. Dried fruits like apricot marmalade and geraniums are present, along with a hint of wallpaper paste and farm air.
Palate
Very mild despite the high ABV, transforming into wonderful taste with candy sweet pineapple, grapefruit, red apples, and juicy pears. Mid-palate brings a drying note with woodsmoke and astringent chili peppers, along with spices like ginger, cinnamon, and liquorice.
Finish
Pretty long and dry, with notes of old oak, nutmeg, tobacco, and a touch of menthol and sour oranges.
