Nose
Nutty and caramel-like, with rich maltiness, traces of leather and tobacco. Citric notes with oily nuttiness, hazelnut, almond, allspice, and creamy chocolate. Medium rich with polished oak, chestnut purée, butter, cake, and chocolate chip cookie.
Palate
A rich whisky with fruit cake, traces of wine, and some sulphury notes from European oak maturation. Crystallized ginger and oranges steeped in honey. Very nutty with hazelnut spread, chestnut, and soft, sweet Dundee cake notes.
Finish
A curious mix of sweet and dry, not as long as the nose suggests, and medium-bodied. Quite long with a nice smokiness, oak, light acidity, orange peel, and chocolate.
