Medium intensity, sweet and gentle smoke, coastal air, ozone, citrus, apricot, sugariness, brine, ferns, pines, salt, mild iodine. Decidedly marine, campfire smoke, roasted bacon, eggnog, rum-soaked sponge cake, dates, sultanas, spiced oak, toffee, fresh green apples.
Palate
Oily, sandy, chalky, salinity, fresh and sour fruit (cherries), toffee, caramel, cask spice, bitter, astringent. Marine, bonfire smoke, polished wood, blood orange, caramelized nuts, smoky dry oak, dried fruit, apple, pinch of salt, creamy oak smokiness, sweet stewed fruits, hint of sea salt.
Finish
Medium, salty, astringent, bitter. Medium to long, very salty, fairly peaty, meringue, peat lingers with cinnamon and white pepper, long, complex, subtle.
