This 25-year-old is from a range of expressions named after the Islay legend of 'The Gulls', and were first bottled in the early 1990s. The bottle is a ceramic decanter adorned with seagulls, inspired by a Scottish legend of two lovers and gulls soaring across Loch Indaal. It is an exquisite representation of Islay's rich distilling heritage, capturing the essence of both coastal smokiness and sherry-finished depth.

Nose
Ripe peaches, dried apricots, dark cherries, cinnamon spice, fresh mint, charred oak. Very round and rich, starting with honey, evolving towards leather, cigarette tobacco, camphor, eucalyptus, peat smoke, sea air, and tropical fruits (ripe mangos). Dark fruits and coastal smokiness, slightly herbal.
Palate
Toffee, hazelnut, orange zest, earthy peat, creamy texture. Oak and dry spices such as nutmeg, cinnamon, and white pepper. Notes of bitter chocolate and classic tropical fruit jams. Characteristic peat smoke, cocoa, and dry, creamy nuttiness.
Finish
Long and lingering, dark chocolate, silky vanilla. Medium long, excellent whisky. Gentle smoke, oak, mocha, hints of prunes.
