Description

Bowmore 18 Years Old Sherry Oak Cask is a deliciously sherried Islay single malt from Bowmore. The single malt has been aged in hand-selected ex-bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks, followed by a finish in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. It is bottled at 43%. This exceptionally expressive whisky offers aromas of dark chocolate, freshly ground cacao beans, treacle toffee, date oil, orange zest and fresh pineapple on a background of rich peat. Bittersweet orange peel, moist sultanas, aniseed spice and cocoa beans come to the fore on the palate. The finish is wonderfully fruity with incredible depth and complexity.
