Nose
Intense dryness, flowery, seaweedy, and salty notes are present, alongside hints of raspberry marmalade, mint, dark and sugared fruits, and oak. There are also rich orchard fruits like crisp apple and sweet pear, apricot jam, orange zest, fresh strawberry, almond marzipan, rich fruit cake, and a subtle wave of sea salt.
Palate
The flavors intensify with a big maltiness and developing saltiness. Oak dryness, fruity, and minty notes are evident, complemented by a luxuriously smooth texture, warming spices, freshly baked apple pie, vibrant citrus, layered spice from French oak, poached pear, and hints of gooseberry.
Finish
The finish is complex, long, and quite dry, with salty and appetizing qualities. Light peat, fruits, and malt linger, along with French oak spices, smooth vanilla fudge, rich chocolate, a hint of coconut, and subtle traces of sea salt, marzipan, and oak spice.
