Description

A whisky distillery on the isle of Islay, notable as one of just two on the island where the preferred production is a non-peated single malt. It has been a part of the Scotch whisky holdings of the South African Distell Group since 2013. A private members club established by Pip Hills in 1983. It has flagship members bars in Edinburgh, Glasgow and London, and partner venues across the world. This 7 year old Bunnahabhain was bottled by SMWS for the 2021 Islay Whisky Festival with an outturn of 2333 bottles. [4, 8]

plenty of smoke! A huge campfire on the beach using driftwood from an old wooden boat, smoked almonds, smoked salmon and roasted pears with walnuts and honey.
Palate
Sensationally sweet and smoky... char-grilled tuna with 'Brinjal Pickle', made with aubergines and traditional Indian spices followed by cinnamon caramelised apple rings.
Finish
With water, crispy honey-glazed bacon and bramble jam on singed brioche. Awesome texture with that combination of sweet and smoke, balsamic glazed Cipollini onions and sweet, smoked salmon jerky.
