Description

A small batch single malt from the Caol Ila distillery, independently bottled by Signatory Vintage as part of their 100 Proof Edition #42. Distilled in 2015 and matured for nine years in a combination of first and second fill Oloroso sherry butts, this whisky was bottled in 2025 at 57.1% ABV. It is presented without chill-filtration and without added colour, offering a bold and full-bodied expression of sherried Islay intensity with a balance of maritime smoke and rich dried-fruit sweetness.

Nose
Billows of kiln smoke and sea-spray meet raisin toffee, orange peel and a hint of iodine-soaked oak.
Palate
A rush of smouldering peat embers, cracked black pepper and liquorice root glides into treacle fudge, fig jam and cinnamon-dusted chocolate.
Finish
Long, warming and gently dry—lingering camp-fire ash, sherry-soaked fruitcake and a final flicker of salted caramel.
