Nose
A sea breeze carrying last night's bonfire smoke and a hint of lemon cough sweet. A bit medicinal, but like the nice kind you don't actually mind taking.
Palate
Starts off calm, then casually reminds you it's still Caol Ila. Smouldering ash, sea salt, and a bit of lemon peel tossed in for good measure. There's a waxy smoothness underneath it all, like someone ironed out the edges but left the soul intact.
Finish
Long and low like a bassline in a slow burner (Think Dance Yrself Clean by LCD Soundsystem). Ashy, salty, and slightly herbal, with a warmth that keeps tapping you on the shoulder like it's not quite done talking.
