Description

A single malt whisky from Chichibu Distillery in Saitama, Japan, founded by Ichiro Akuto. The 2022 US Edition is a limited release, a blend of nine casks with a focus on barrels that previously held India pale ale, imperial stout, and hopped cider, lending subtle notes of tropical fruit and citrus. It is bottled at cask strength without additives or coloring, and is non-chill filtered.

Rich baked fruit on the palate, with apple, peach, orange, barley sugar, sweet vanilla, pepper, and clove; the citrus building to smother the spice, sweetening all the while.
